Vince Busam specializes in Internet technologies, from AJAX applications to network infrastructure, as well as embedded Linux. He has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and the Los Angles Times and has spoken on Linux subjects at user groups and industry events.

While an undergraduate at the School of Engineering & Applied Science at the University of California, Los Angeles, Vincent Busam founded Scour, a start-up funded by entertainment heavyweights Michael Ovitz and Ron Burkle, that triggered the start of the digital media revolution. The P2P website, conceptualized, designed and built by Busam, provided consumers with the first large-scale multimedia search engine and encompassed advanced techniques that allowed for the search of music, videos and entertainment content online unlike any other previous sites. Following Scour, Busam joined PhatNoise as Director of Advanced Product Development, where he met STG founder Daniel Benyamin, and was responsible for the design and implementation of the software running on the company’s flagship product, the PhatBox Digital Media Player. In early 2005, Busam joined Google where he serves as tech lead for the company’s efforts to improve the functionality of Linux in enterprise environments, and has completed several successful internal global rollouts.
