Author Profile: Dan Benyamin
Biography »
Dan Benyamin is a technologist, product designer, and currently advises on all things digital. Dan is a co-founder of the SoCal Tech Group and spends his free time advocating entrepreneurship in the Southern California area. For over 8 years, Dan has led the design and development of award-winning consumer electronics products. In his role as Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of PhatNoise, Inc., Dan directed the company's core technology design and development initiatives. PhatNoise's leading-edge designs and products have earned such accolades as Popular Science's Best of What's New, and PC Magazine's Editor's Choice. In 2005, PhatNoise was successfully sold to Harman International, where Dan continued as Vice President of Engineering. Prior to founding PhatNoise, Dan Benyamin conducted extensive research in high-performance DSP systems, especially in the emerging technology of configurable computing. His findings have been published extensively in technical journals and magazines, and he holds several patents in the areas of digital music management and user interface design. Dan holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Los Angeles.
